I'm always hungry for new medium, and have a constant thirst for learning and "figuring out". I thrive when working several projects of different mediums and themes, and at various stages of progress, I never feel unmotivated or disinterested, my workspace is always fresh and exciting to me.I do custom charcoal portraits, (some posted on my picasa site) done for friends/clients early this year.With over 50 custom chalk menu/promotional boards under my belt at a local coffee shop- I have an irrationally deep understanding and love for the "liquid chalk pen". I love incorporating the entire staff (either as a subtle "wait... is that...?", or interacting with the always changing seasonal scenery). I love adding "Easter Eggs", and creating the month-long menu that will still have something new for you to find or see differently until the new season comes along. Ever since I started filling margins on church bulletins with fonts and lettering I felt gave words as much glory as they deserved, I still love the quest to make a word look every part their definitions, embodying its idea as much in text as a picture might.Of course, there's always oils, acrylics, watercolors, mosaic, colored pencil, ceramics and photography to keep me busy should I find a spare hour or four, to learn, and learn, and explore, and escape.
