Morley Rugby Football Club is a rugby union club based in Morley, West Yorkshire. The club are famous for playing in a maroon kit and thus are nicknamed "The Maroons". They currently play in North 1 East, a level six league in the English rugby union league system. Morley played and won its first match on the 9 November 1878, against Dewsbury Birkdale. Morley regularly host 4 senior teams and juniors at all age grades. The club is an incredibly social environment and one at the heart of the community, being used on an annual basis to host the towns firework display, St George's Day Parade and a remembrance Sunday lunch for members, local veterans and dignitaries. The club is dependent on the support of an army of volunteers to deliver a safe and clean facility for all players, members and visitors to enjoy and deliver this through the support of local individuals and businesses willing to sponsor our club or teams.
