Mormaii was founded 42 years ago by Marco Aurelio Raymundo – aka Morongo – the guiding light, pater-familias and mentor of surfing and surfers in Brazil. Mormaii quickly became the source for custom wetsuits (originally hand sewn by Morongo himself and his wife Maira) and grew into the largest surf apparel and lifestyle brand in South America.Thousands of unique products ranging from wetsuits and boards to yoga mats, sunglasses and sandals now bear the Mormaii brand, and over 80 athletes–legends, champions and record holders in surfing, swimming and diving – are sponsored by the company.But the heart of Mormaii isn't in its products: It is the experience of communing with nature and connecting with friends.
