Founded by a mom/educator in 2015, grounded in earth-based values, yet with an eye toward how the world is changing, Morningside PlayCare is the Morningside Heights/Harlem area's cornerstone Mandarin and Spanish Immersion early childhood program. We attract a rich diversity of visionary families. Families who speak English, Mandarin, Spanish, French, Russian, Portuguese, Vietnamese and other languages at home, and who want their children to be multilingual enroll toddlers as young as 18 months, and continue with us through age five. (We are currently exploring expansion to accommodate parents who wish their children to stay with us indefinitely.) Morningside PlayCare Immersion's play-based approach and emphasis on nature exploration, and organic living is a match for families who see the world-changing and wish to prepare their children in a fun and engaging way. Our gardens and nature exploration program for toddlers is unmatched in the city. We do this by operating a nursery school that provides nurturing, fun, care; while immersing children in the Mandarin and Spanish languages through play, creative activities, Yoga and exploration of Nature.
