Music - Amman, Amman Governorate, Jordan
Mosaica Singers provides a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment that is necessary for musical and personal growth. We work together, each investing their own talent and unique strengths, to create high quality musical performances across a wide variety of musical genres, which in turn inspire our audiences and community. We uplift, bring joy and promote understanding among a diverse population through different manifestations of choral music. While we are a fairly new choir, established in January 2019, our members range from those with decades of choral experience to those who have only recently been introduced to the art form.We have multiple choral groups:Mosaica Singers: The main choral group, with 40 to 60 singers from diverse backgrounds, cultures, ages and both professional and musical experiences, united through their love of music. This main choral group has two major projects per year, each with a different style and genre. Chamber Choir: The Chamber Choir is a sub-set of Mosaica Singers, made up of 24 performers who rehearse all year long to have a regular repertoire of a-capella music. This group performs at special events, tours, festivals, and competitions. The objective of this group is to provide opportunities for its members to further grow as musicians through continuous rigorous rehearsals, performances and festivals on both the local and regional level. Members learn a wide repertoire of music but have a special focus on Arabic choral music.Mosaica Carolers: A small group specialized in a capella Christmas music, performing throughout December at a variety of venues. Mosaica Kids: Established in January 2020, Mosaica Kids introduces the next generation to the power of choral music. Utilizing the Kodály method, we introduce children to musical concepts, creativity, and the richness of harmony in a social and cultural experience.
