Mothers for Justice and Equality is a nonprofit organization located in Boston. This organization started 2010 as a grassroots organization with a vision aimed towards ending street violence by empowering community members to make change and restore safety for future generations The mission of Mothers for Justice and Equality is to end neighborhood violence by empowering mothers and youth to challenge the normalization of violence and become effective Catalysts for change in their homes, schools, and communities. By reclaiming the identity of our communities we restore a sense of hope and purpose for Children, Youth and Adults. Our Mission is achieved by creating a variety of programs designated to empowering mothers and youth in the Boston area. The programs created are aimed towards empowering the community, helping women and youth to become advocates for peace in the neighborhoods in which they live. To provide tools to the mothers of victims by supporting them with resources to become leaders in the community.
