We are the voice of the Western Australian motor industry. The Association is a member based organisation run by members, for members. We champion industry issues on behalf of our members who individually would not be heard by government.We are committed to: - Advancing the issues that affect the WA motor industry with government and policy makers at all levels. - Securing the future of the industry by driving the development of a skilled workforce. - Building a strong and resilient industry through business development.BackgroundEstablished in 1934, the Motor Trade Association of Western Australia (MTA WA) has spent decades advocating for the motor industry and assisting members in running and growing their business. The Association is the peak industry group for the Western Australian motor industry and represents over 1,800 businesses.The MTA WA has 19 divisions that cover every aspect of the motor trade industry from body repairers and mechanics to heavy transport operators and tyre dealers.Each division has a committee, made up of elected representatives, that meets regularly to discuss industry issues and set the policy agenda for the Association.This information is used by the MTA WA in its representations to Federal, State and Local governments and the Association has a proven track record in influencing government policy to the benefit of our members.
