ACTIV FITNESS, a subsidiary of the Migros Zurich cooperative, operates 66 fitness studios throughout Switzerland. The company, based in Zurich Oerlikon, was founded in Erlenbach near Zurich in 1984. Within 35 years, a one-man studio has developed into the most successful fitness center group in Switzerland. The company employs almost 2000 people and has been owned by the Migros Zurich cooperative since 2007. In 2012, the company entered the French-speaking part of Switzerland and in 2014 opened its first studio in Ticino. It is the only fitness centre group in Switzerland with studios in all three parts of the country. More than 110,000 members currently train at ACTIV FITNESS. ACTIV FITNESS is one of the cheapest fitness providers in Switzerland with a complete range of services and a unique price-performance ratio.
