Mozambikes is a social venture that provides quality bicycles at less than half market prices by partnering with advertisers. We brand their colors and logos on our bikes, which cycle through communities in Mozambique for years. These bicycles increase daily incomes and improve access to healthcare and education, and reach homes that do not use traditional media like TVs and newspapers. Therefore, our bicycles turn an effective advertising tool into an innovative corporate social responsibility campaign. Mozambikes is the only operational bicycle producer in Mozambique. We create local employment while providing the country with something that yields a huge developmental impact: bicycles! Bicycles are efficient methods of transportation that benefit the economy of impoverished nations. No other transportation can be tailored to African conditions and sold at prices affordable for its residents. Transportation is crucial to commerce, health and safety and community, and yet the bicycle market in Mozambique is underserved and inefficient.
