NEMS - National Emergency Medical Services and National Event Medical Services in a South African based company operating out of Johannesburg, Gauteng. National Event Medical Services (NEMS) was established in 2002, when a need was identified by existing and new clients for current emergency medical coverage to be provided during different emergency situations. NEMS facilitated this shortfall by opening National Event Medical Services in order to assist corporate clients and event companies with providing sound medical solutions for their events, functions, launches, concerts and team building. In 2004, National Emergency Medical Services, a sister company of National Event Medical Services, was established due to the high demands for inter-hospital transfers, primary responses and medical training. The sister company focuses primarily on pre-hospital emergency medical service. NEMS on the whole specialises in providing emergency medical services, emergency medical inter-hospital transfers, medical centre management, medical event management services, medical disaster and evacuation planning and medical training services to different corporate companies, sports administrations, medical aids, shopping centres, event companies and the general public.
