MRV Systems, LLC was founded in 2010 as a spin-out from the Scripps Institution of Oceanography, at University of California San Diego. MRV holds an exclusive license to manufacture the SOLO-II profiling float, which is a major component of the International Argo program, with over a thousand floats deployed worldwide. Since its founding, MRV has continuously updated and enhanced its product line and now offers a range of autonomous profiling systems. These buoyancy-driven products require highly reliable and tightly integrated systems capable of operating autonomously for years.
