MS platform of Serbia is a non-governmental and non-profit association of patients suffering from multiple sclerosis (MS). It is the association consisting of not only patients, but also their family members, friends, neurologists, MS nurses, as well as people of good will who want to help that this disease is treated in Serbia in the best possible way and that all patients have the right to treatment and access to medicines.We are fighting to change two stereotypes related to MS:* The first is that the disease is incurable and that a patient ends in wheelchairs. This used to be true in past, when medicines for MS were nonexistent.* The second is that there is no medicine for MS. There are 14 original registered medicines which are changing the course of disease, put it under control, and provide a dignified life.It is important to start with the medicines as soon as possible, immediately after diagnosis and choose the right medicine according to the characteristics of the patient, characteristics of their illness and the activity of MS.
