Mt. Airy Axis (formerly Mt. Airy Nexus) is a 7,000 sq. ft. coworking space in West Mt. Airy. Located in a 2-year old LEED platinum building, the Axis' goal is to help create a sense of community for people to work or study in a safe environment. With a mix of open seating, 13 offices, conference rooms, phone booths, lounge areas and outdoor spaces, we can meet any of your work or special event needs. Our predecessors proudly hosted everything from state senators to quilting blankets for hurricane victims to film festivals. We intend to honor and build on that variety in a safe manner through the pandemic. In addition to the COVID-19 cleaning and spacing standards, we have a leg up on other indoor spaces because of our integrated Energy Recovery Ventilator (ERV). An ERV replaces the air in the space with fresh air from the outside through a filter, resulting in clean, fresh air. It's like leaving the windows open without losing the inside temperature.
