Insurance - Yukon, OK, US
When I first began in the insurance business in December of 1984, I was taught by a major insurance company's sales department how to ask the right questions to manipulate our prospects into saying yes and buying a product from us. I immediately went to my Dad's home and shared my new-found knowledge with him. Since he had been in the sales business from the late 50's with the Carnation Milk Company and then with Prudential from 1963, I knew he would be proud of me. I was wrong!!!!My Dad shared his sales philosophy with me. It went something like this.Find out if they have a need for money if they have a loss.Offer them at least three options to solve their problem.Let them choose the one they feel comfortable with.Process the paperwork.Dad said this allows them to be in control and be a buyer instead of me being in control and being a seller. Since I had control tendencies, I didn't accept his advice at first, but eventually did and became the Rookie Agent of the Year in 1985. Even though Dad has been gone a few years now, we still utilize his wisdom. If you have a need, we will try to offer solutions at a fair price. If we can't, we will tell you so and advise you to stay with your current carrier. I am proud to say Kyle and Brett share the same belief. Give us a call and see if we can help you be Prepared for the Unexpected!
