The Mucolipidosis Type IV (ML4) Foundation funds, supports, and promotes medical and scientific research dedicated finding treatments for this rare, autosomal, lysosomal disease. Children with ML4 experience severe neurological complications from this disease, including significant psychomotor developmental delays, as well as blindness. In addition to continuing to explore basic mechanisms of the disease, the ML4 Foundation supports research in small molecule discovery, gene therapy, and clinical research.
