Based in Inverkeithing, Fife, Muir Timber Systems form a part of the Muir Group of companies launched in 1975. Initially to service the structural timber frame requirements of Muir Construction and Muir Homes Ltd.Significant investment over recent years has created a modern 30,000 sq ft manufacturing facility producing timber frame systems.In 2005 the introduction of our roof truss production facility was the first step in a strategy to offer a total package system to provide the quality of workmanship and flexibility of design demanded by our clients.Further investment into the manufacture of doors, door sets, glazed screens and floor cassettes along with a variety of bespoke joinery items further developed our total package approach.At Muir Timber Systems, we believe timber frame technology is the future. In addition to the natural aesthetic qualities of wood, there are also many structural, economical and environmental reasons for its use in modern construction techniques.A dedicated team of designers work hand in hand with our client's Architect/Designer and Builder from project inception to completion.Muir Timber Systems are Quality Registered to ISO 9001:2008 and are members of the Timber Research & Development Association (TRADA), and the Trussed Rafter Association (TRA). We are accredited to PEFC and CE Marking for Roof Trusses.MTS has the technology, resources and most importantly, the proven expertise to deliver total solutions for a wide variety of building projects.
