Mulmangcho was created in 2012 to help North Korean defectors adjust to their new life in South Korea. Born in a country where everything is dictated, they are not equipped to flourish in a society where individual success is the standard. Through various programs, we are committed to giving refugees the necessary tools to become leaders in their communities.MULMANGCHO SCHOOL • This alternative academy for refugee youth was established with the goal of closing the opportunity gap between northern children and their southern peers. With state-of-the-art facilities for sports, education, and arts, we provide top-tier academics for our aspiring scholars. Students and their families have access to psychological counseling and unique therapy programs, including music, art, and horse-assisted therapy.MULMANGCHO CLINIC• Our Yeoju campus features a free dental clinic for people who have escaped North Korea, where an ongoing shortage of oral hygiene products has had devastating consequences on health.MULMANGCHO OPEN SCHOOL • Designed for older students, our Open School provides several classes in various fields, including history, civil law, economics, and literature. This strengthens refugee students' CVs, giving them a chance to compete in South Korea's fiercely competitive university admission process. We provide our most gifted students with scholarships for study abroad programs in renowned US universities.ADVOCATE VOICES • Our Human Rights Center organizes awareness seminars, provides a resettlement assistance program for Prisoners of War, and operates a publishing house that spotlights refugee testimony.MULMANGCHO CHOIR • The Mulmangcho Choir meets every Tuesday and is composed of approximately thirty women who survived the Kim regime. We invite defectors to share their love of singing under supervision of a professional director. Let's empower North Korean Refugees!Join today: http://www.mulmangcho.org/
