In 1999 formed to support & advocate for people from culturally & linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds. MACS' core business is cultural awareness & linking all communities within Moreton Bay Region to:co-exist harmoniouslybecome social inclusivebe productive members of our local communitiesThe Management Committee (consisting of volunteers), work towards engaging on all levels, State, Federal and Local as well as local business & industry; encouraging these sectors to offer financial support & collaborative partnerships to sustain the association, its initiatives & the annual fiesta.Each year MACS Inc. hosts the Moreton Bay Multicultural Fiesta (formally the Caboolture Multicultural Festival), showcasing an amazing variety of cultures from around the world.The Fiesta promotes the culture & customs in the Moreton Bay Region with a wide array of foods, traditional dancing & performances & market stalls.The idea of sharing our culture with others with music, song & other skills gives visitors an insight into different cultures & helps in educating the greater community about unity, diversity & harmony. It provides different cultural groups the opportunity to learn traditions and to share them with our young.MACS Inc. mission is to assist CaLD communities in whatever issues they may have by linking them with mainstream services or through mentoring.The main purpose of the association is creating cultural awareness & social cohesion through activities, workshops & the festival, leasing to displaying the significant value & richness that people from other countries can add to Moreton Bay Region's culture and diversity.MACS' core business is cultural awareness & linking all communities within Moreton Bay Region to co-exist harmoniously, become social inclusive & be productive members of our local communities.Cultural awareness & social harmony are achieved through the various actions, such as events workshops & the Multicultural festival.
