Dedicated to telling the stories behind the stories we read. Genre Fiction plays a critical role in culture, helping us understand ourselves, and explain the actions of others. It is both an escape and space of introspection. Exhibits dive deep into the lives and works of authors, into the evolution of genres and the societal and economic pressures that change both the writing and readership. The artists whose work grabs our eye and the publishers who decide whose eyes to grab. MUOGEFI will be a space to find context for our most beloved books as well as those whose topics and tropes no longer match our ethics and mores. Collections will be available for research, including books, manuscripts, ephemera of authors, and original art works and contracts. Every phase of a book's journey from an author's mind to ours will be examined, helping explain why some books never find their readers.
