The Muriel McQueen Fergusson Centre for Family Violence Research (MMFC) has a mandate to promote interdisciplinary research aimed at understanding, treating and preventing family violence and violence against women and children. Located at the University of New Brunswick, under the Faculty of Arts, the strength of MMFC relies on the collaborations between academic and community members. Our Focus:a) Conduct and encourage practice and policy-relevant research on family violence and violence against women and childrenb) Focus on the dissemination of research findings to various target groups to influence policies or practicesc) Develop and offer targeted educational programsThe research agenda of the MMFC is continually evolving. The MMFC always welcomes suggestions for new research projects.
