Muse of Fire Theatre Company Mission StatementWho we are: A professional theatre company based in Evanston, Illinois, Muse of Fire stages excellent productions of extraordinary plays and offers educational programming that is available and accessible to all. Our vision: To become an integral part of the arts community and draw as many people as possible into the vibrant world of great theatre through rousing productions and innovative educational programming.Our mission: To intrigue and educate the widest possible audience through productions of compelling plays, with Shakespeare as our cornerstone.• We perform much as the Elizabethans did by interacting with our audiences in full light and without technological enhancements;• We strive for clarity and vibrancy in productions that fully engage our audiences and resonate with their lives;• We play in found spaces, rather than traditional (and more intimidating) theatre venues;• Perhaps most importantly, we reach people who do not ordinarily go to see such theatre by making all of our performances free.
