This is our stage. We call the shots here and when the curtains open we expect you to be open-mouthed. You're going to forget the fact that you dropped mustard on your gown when you stopped for that street-dog four blocks from the theatre because you were so hungry from your juice cleanse - you were in a hurry, we know. Just about everyone is, who comes to see us. You'll forget about how he/she still hasn't texted you back, and what could that mean?! When the curtains open, you'll be fixated. Transfixed. Mesmerized. Under a spell; maybe we cast it over you, but you'll never know and even if you did, you wouldn't care. We didn't ask to be here but we didn't refuse it. We fought everything and everyone who attempted to box us in. We are no longer just the subjects. We are no longer just objectified. We are the perpetrators. The glorifiers. The creators. We build ourselves now. We hold ourselves up and out and let you all in and under. We let the world in and under. We soak it up. We observe and fight within ourselves about the beauty and the pain and how it all could mix so closely until they become the same thing. We listen and when we feel we've heard enough, when our eyes are full of beauty, pain or both, we reinvent it. We capitulate it. We will bring it to life. We promise to be honest. We promise to be monumental. We promise to inspire. We promise to throw all we are into this. Into you. Because we only live once. And we have chose to live the MuseLyfe. Welcome to our world.
