The Museum was inaugurated in Milan in 1953, becoming a Private law Foundation in 1999. Today it is the largest scientific and technological museum in Italy and one of the most important in Europe.The Museum preserves and studies the historical, technical and scientific heritage, consisting of 19,000 objects, to transmit to present and future generations the evolution of science and technology, as the underlying basis of contemporary society.It works to trigger in people the desire for lifelong learning through an active and conscious relationship with STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics), contributing to cultural regeneration and to a more equitable and inclusive context.The collaboration and support of partners, sponsors and donors make possible to constantly renew the Museum and its cultural and educational offer, generating a deep impact on society and on the territory.
