Poldi Pezzoli Museum in Milan is one of the most significant house-museums in Europe and shows the taste of one of the finest collectors of the 19th-century. Founded in 1881 by the collector Gian Giacomo Poldi Pezzoli who devoted his entire life to the decoration of his apartment and to collecting works of art within his family's opulent Milan mansion.
