Muses is a Seattle-based non-profit striving to equip underserved immigrants and refugees with skills and ethical job opportunities in apparel production, while increasing fashion designers' access to high-quality, local, and responsible manufacturing services. We seek to build financial stability and social integration for underserved immigrant and refugee women by focusing their existing talents and passions into skills highly demanded by fashion designers in the local economy. We will then connect them with job opportunities within the apparel industry, including our own apparel production house with a focus on ethical manufacturing. Muses aspires to revive the fine art of creating high-quality, handcrafted garment locally, in our Seattle apparel studio. Innovatively merging a social need and market demand, we envision a sustainable future as a leading local apparel production house which equips women with the skills and opportunities to become self sufficient.
