Museum of Sydney is a built on the site of Australia's first Government House. The house was demolished in 1845 though the foundations can be viewed in the Museum. The Museum of Sydney, a post-modern building, is located 5 minutes from Circular Quay and Sydney's picturesque harbour, the museum interprets Sydney's history, it's people and places, and contemporary issues through objects, artworks, photography, film and interactives.
