Public Relations & Communications - Nashville, Tennessee, United States
Music City Arts Network provides exposure for artists and arts organizations (as well as professionals, organizations and companies of all kinds). We are a communications organization specializing in publicity, music publishing, book publishing, event planning, project development, artist management, education, and news gathering/distribution. Our Music City Arts Update newsletter and website announces artist accomplishments, events, and educational opportunities. We host the monthly "Tunesmithing" songwriters showcase near Music Row. Our book publishing arm has released the book/CD "The Littlest Star" featuring Margo Smith, Denny Jiosa, and Connie Ellisor. Our Publicizing Your Dream seminar series helps teach artists and others the PR ropes. Striking Moon Music (ASCAP) and Shine Time Music (BMI) handle the song catalogs of various writers, including the late Marcia Jones (whose song "Closer Than We've Ever Been" was featured in a Hallmark movie). MCAN is overseen by a former newspaper reporter and copy editor who teaches communication courses at area colleges.
