At the beginning of January 2018, the Amstelveen entrepreneur Marianne Kuiper will open the doors to a unique meeting venue with a musical undertone, the Music Meeting Lounge. Here, guests can have plenty of meetings, and those who want, can play old records and relive the warm feeling of that creaking gramophone needle on vinyl. "My father suffered from Alzheimer's in his last years. Every time I came to visit him, he asked me what I was going to do with his records. The fact that I have found a perfect destination for it now feels good. Music inspires and connects. That is why we opted for a DJ booth that our guests can use. One of the songs from my father's collection is the well-known 'Don't you forget about me!' (Simple Minds) This is the slogan of the Music Meeting Lounge and the link to the past, to my father and the surprising character of this new meeting venue. Whoever meets here has an unforgettable day!"
