MUSICABANA Foundation is a New York-based not-for-profit organization that promotes mutual understanding between the people of Cuba, the United States, and the rest of the world, through year-round musical, artistic and cultural events that emphasize and enrich shared history, traditions and values. Our Mission • Build a world-class international music festival, making Hababa a premier destination for the discovery of new world sounds and the epicenter of the music world for one monumental week every year. • Position MUSICABANA as a significant and lasting cultural bridge between Cuba and the United States. • Foster exchange and generate new cultural dynamics between Cuba, the Caribbean, and the rest of the world. • Bring Cuba back to the center of the most relevant music trends and encourage local talent through year-round music programs. • Hold music workshops led by international artists at music schools and Casas de Cultura (neighborhood arts centers).
