Musical Sprouts was started in 2015 by artists Bridget a'Beckett and Sharni Page to provide young children with high-quality music and theatre experiences. Since its inception, the company has produced two musical theatre shows, toured Melbourne metropolitan theatres and performed in numerous festivals including MusicPlay at the Melbourne Recital Centre, Romp and Stomp at the Melbourne Museum and the Spiegeltent for the Melbourne Fringe Festival. Their musical ‘A Day In The Life Of You' (above) was accepted into Showcase Victoria 2020. Musical Sprouts new musical, Yella and the Feeling Flower, features a culturally diverse cast and explores emotional literacy in children. It features original songs in English and Samoan. The creative team consists of award-winning playwright Jolyon James (Robot Song) as Director, choreographer Michael Ralph, Samoan actor Michael Logo and writer/performers Bridget a'Beckett and Sharni Page.
