Our KaupapaWe are a totally inclusive organisation run by young people for young people established to elevate the voice of the youth of Aotearoa; to ensure the opinions and wishes of the generation aged 14 - 24 are considered when making decisions that directly impact the future of the country and the people living in it.We ensure the views of the generation aged 14 to 24 are understood by the New Zealand public as a whole. We are not necessarily looking for agreement with all these views but that they are at least heard and known by the average person in the street.We will ensure that young people of the generation aged 14 to 24 are represented in the NZ parliament. The ultimate aim is that the number of MPs should be a direct reflection of the proportion of the population that fall into that age bracket. However, we are looking to be ready to get at least 1 list MP elected in the 2020 election.We will bring together all the organisations working in the youth sector to ensure a joined up approach to communication and delivery of programmes and events. There are too many organisations trying to achieve the same goals and competing for the same funding. This is severely watering down the effectiveness of these groups and causing confusion for the young people that should be benefiting directly from these servicesWe will provide support and a safe environment for any young person needing help, support or adviceWe provide all of the above embracing the fundamental principles of togetherness and absolutely inclusivity. No young person gets left behind!
