We are a nonprofit, member-owned corporation made up of members/stockholders, who pay a one-time fee of $50.00 per household. It is our intent to provide services at the lowest possible cost to our members.MVTV started on January 30, 1960. The Granite Falls boys high school basketball team was good and headed to the state playoffs. In an effort to cheer on their team and follow their journey to the state championships, a small group of volunteers decided to raise money in an attempt to bring the televised event to Granite Falls. Through their enthusiasm and determination, they were able to raise money and debut the first six channel television system to the rural Minnesota community. This early television system started on the top of the Foshay Tower in Minneapolis, MN; with the signal traveling to Winthrop, Morton, Bird Island, finally making its way to Granite Falls. While MVTV Wireless is well known for their broadband Internet service, to this day, we still provide television service to a 30 mile radius of the Granite Falls area.In April of 1999 MVTV began providing a High Speed Wireless Internet Service, reaching rural customers that couldn't otherwise have access to broadband internet.MVTV Wireless internet services have expanded to include over 30,000 square miles of Southwestern Minnesota. We are serving over 6,500 subscribers and growing rapidly. The MVTV Board of Directors welcomes you to become a member of our nonprofit member-owned corporation.
