Houston Hospital Sitters provides compassionate non-medical care to patients that are in the hospital or a short term medical facility. All of our non-medical services will be conducted at a medical facility where we provide the respite care model. The respite care model includes providing temporary, as-needed, relief to family members/caregivers who typically provide care. We can provide services within 24 hours from the time patient or family member calls us. Non-Medical Services Houston Hospital Sitters offers non-medical services up to 24 hours notice for our patients. We can also accommodate overnight respite care within the hospital to relieve the family members who serve as primary caregivers. Our certified CPR sitter provides the following services: Observe patient to prevent falls Monitors and records who enters/exits the patient's room Observe patient behavior and report any changes Companionship to patient Unobtrusive care with confidentialityAssist patient with calling nurse or nurse's aideIf allowed by nurse in charge and family, assist with combing hair, feeding and dressingNon-Medical Services Benefits:The patients of Houston Hospital Sitters and their family members or caregiver will receive the benefits.Caregiver or family members will not have to miss work or important events/meetings.We will never leave your alone. Our sitters stay with the patients until the family member or caregiver returns and we provide constant companionship. We provide the patient's family members with a detail status update report on the patient. Caregiver/family member can rest and return to the patient refreshed and rested.If the patient is having an outpatient procedure or surgery, we can help sit with patient in recovery.We can often run important personal errand within 5 to 10 miles from the medical facility.
