The idea for My Pickup Artist occurred to the founder 20 years ago. Call it efficiency or just being lazy, she grew tired of digging around in her vanity drawer for makeup. Most women use the same makeup in the same order every day (except for dramatic eye day), so why not organize it like that? She found an artist's palette at a hardware store, covered it in heavy duty Velcro, and then started sticking cosmetics to it. She soon figured out it was great for traveling and could stash it anywhere. Fifteen years later, a friend gawking over the idea helped her realize that other women could benefit from this awesome space and time saver!The growing company is planning on selling their products through representatives in the makeup, hair, and spa industries. In the future, the cases will also be available at retail locations throughout the country.
