My School Ticino is a bilingual Italian / English school situated in Castel San Pietro. It includes a Nursery, Pre-school, Primary School, Language School as well as a rich and well structured Extracurricular Service running from 7am to 7pm 49 weeks a year. The School has its own in house kitchenand. Throughout the whole the school year, it organises courses and workshops which are open to all. My School Ticino was founded in 2011 with the opening of My Baby Nursery, through the initiative of the Medacta for Life Foundation. The Nursery was initially created to welcome children of the employees of Medacta International SA, a company with strong social responsibility, later opening its doors to local families with the aim of providing support to parents and promoting the return of women to work after having a baby.Situated in a beautiful context and surrounded by nature, My School Ticino satisfies the needs for childcare, learning, education, management of free time and canton school holiday weeks. The School's objectives for educational excellence are constantly sustained through pedagogical activism, following in particular Maria Montessori's method and the creative style of the founder of Reggio Children, Loris Malaguzzi and his Hundred Languages. My School Ticino's third educational pillar is its Italian/English bilingualism programme, offered through immersion, with the full time presence of a bilingual mother tongue teacher. Outdoor Education, by international definition a "pedagogical orientation that encourages experiences in direct contact with nature" is increasingly part of the daily lives of our children.
