My Social Support Network is Australia's first social inclusion program aimed at connecting and supporting people with injury, illness or disability who are isolated and lonely. The program was designed by Adjunct Associate Professor Caroline Howe following her own research into improved outcomes through social connection.MSSN is a place where you can be yourself. Talk to likeminded people and get access to tools to help you. Meet people who have got your back.If you are sitting there with everything rattling around in your head then join MSSN and be with people who can meet your where you are at and help you move forward. Back to a place where you can feel like yourself again. What we know through research:*People who report higher social functioning return to work 4.61 times faster than those that don't*Social isolation = 1.8 times more likely to not return to work*Having stronger social connections = 3.5 times less likely to report persistent painThe program is designed to:*promote wellbeing health outcomes*increase connection*allow autonomy for the participants in the groups to design the sessions they most want (eg: better self-expression, cooking, gardening, return to work, coaching, self-talk, forgiveness, mediation, getting better sleep)*increase connection and capacity over a 4 week period
