Nonprofit Organization Management - Gweru, Midlands Province, Zimbabwe
My Vision Initiative, MVI for short, is a start-up non-profit organization in Zimbabwe. It is a program for adolescent girls in high school, with the aim of reducing teenage pregnancy in Zimbabwe through offering a variety of activities, which include, but are not limited to:- Personal and professional development coaching - Creation of safe spaces for girls to engage, interact and share ideas on things that both interest and concern them. - Mentorship - Sex education - Technical skills development - Leadership - Entrepreneurship skill developmentThe main aim for MVI is to ensure that teenage girls who are part of the program do not fall prey to teenage pregnancy, and to keep them in school as much as our capacity and capability as allow. We also wish to compliment the standard Zimbabwean school curriculum to develop young women who are resilient, intelligent, and able to fit in the communities that they are joining. Here at MVI, we envision a world in which teenage girls are able to realize their potential, stay in school and explore themselves first, a world in which girls do not resort to marriage as an alternative instead of going to school even in the midst of financial challenges.Social Media HandlesFacebook and Instagram: @myvisioninitiative Twitter: @MyVisionZim
