Mycelium Networks deploys and operates decentralized wireless networks to empower a smarter Arkansas and set an example for the adoption of these networks across the globe. We connect homes, organizations, supply chains, communities, and cities with our dedication to resilient, low impact, efficient technologies. We are building a decentralized wireless infrastructure to support IoT devices, defined by a network of "nodes" that receive and transmit data from low-power wide-area devices. Existing mainstream "smart" devices have limited battery life and range. They require deployment and maintenance of extensive wireless infrastructure, controlled in a centralized manner by giant telcos who impose high connectivity costs upon users. Our current product is a decentralized network with coverage all over Northwest Arkansas on which energy-efficient devices can communicate 200x further than WIFI, at a fraction of the cost of cellular.Above all, we are a group of young entrepreneurs having fun and inspiring others to join us in our quest to create a more fair and altruistic future - all behind the deeply-rooted belief that our current centralized communication networks are flawed, and that there is a better way to build the world for tomorrow.
