The concept of myodiversity surrounds embracing continually more varied movement patterns in order to keep the body's tissues mobile and unrestricted. Clients actively partner with an occupational therapist to develop a care plan which helps them become aware of and reverse the habitual movement patterns which lead to a stiff, painful, or injured body. Each client works toward developing the myodiversity that will allow them to participate fully in their desired lifestyle. Services may include myofascial release in the John F. Barnes method, fascial stretch techniques, self-treatment, corrective exercise, awareness training, yoga & respiratory instruction, fitness training, and lifestyle consulting, all overseen by a medical professional.
