Music - Nairobi, Nairobi County, Kenya
Trinit Academy was established in 2006 in Nairobi Kenya as a music training school with programs in schools, and a team-based music learning approach for adults and those who have come into music later in life. Project- based learning has yielded a couple of bands that have spun off and set of on a course of their own. The Academy has provided a home for music practitioners and teachers, some of whom have been previously compelled to take up other work. Born out of years of striving by its founder, Trinit Academy has been able to recognise the gap areas that have limited the expansion, growth of and access to music by a greater diversity of people and audiences in Nairobi, Kenya and the region. The Academy has also been very conscious of the need for a dynamic bridging space that would link music from source to skills enhancement and from that to industry, and from industry to market. To this end, Trinit Academy is now consolidating its programs under an umbrella that will be a platform, structure, network, community, environment and district for the stimulation, growth, promotion and creative use of a music aesthetic, sensibility and culture that draws from the vast, rich and diverse Eastern African realities and experiences for purposes of personal, community, national and regional transformation. The expanded initiative presently named the Eastern Africa Music & Media Hub is being evolved and now intends to establish the kind of linkages and partnerships that will seed the community on which it will thrive.Myuzinc Also known as Eastern Africa Music & Media Hub offers education programs, events, Music distribution, Artists Management, Global partnership & exchange, Media program & social development objectives: peace, health & cultural confidence, economic empowerment through music
