This national wellness program is meant to engage for change and uphold its promise in building leaders in corporate and community around the country. It emphasizes the health and resilience of the individual, so one is able to effectively lead where one serves professionally and personally. The hope is to launch an authentic platform providing Asian-Americans a collaborative and protected forum dedicated solely on their emotional, financial, and physical well-being. It is founded on enhancing, engaging, and encouraging a community that desires transformative changes in one's life that improves overall well-being for sustainability and empower others around them to bring positive change into his/her organization or business. Self-Care and Wellness will, at the forefront, support Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), ERG adoption of mental health and wellness initiatives, and social engagement and innovation. Programming will apply NAAAP's local and national capabilities to offer an invaluable resource for not only NAAAP members, but the greater community that includes corporate and community sponsors, members' colleagues, and even family.NAAAP Self-Care and Wellness was spearheaded by NAAAP North Carolina's 2019-2020 President Jeanie Chang, LMFT, CCTP who is a licensed mental health clinician & national speaker on workplace wellness. The national operations team includes Jeanie Y. Chang, (Nat'l Director/Founder), Cyndy Yu-Robinson (ED, NAAAP), Newlyn Wing (Strategic Lead), Alen Chao (Program Operations), Vi Tran (Creative Ambassador), Jane Nguyen (Marketing/Communications) as well as Elizabeth Yang (Legal and NationalAdvisor) and Donald Fan, NAAAP National Board Executive Champion.Mission Statement: Provide a comprehensive, multi-dimensional program founded on multiculturalconfidence to promote self-care, good mental and wellness for professionals.Vision: Optimal sustainability and holistic well-being to be happy and effective in all aspects of your life.
