Naari was born out of a need to create a movement of "informed choice" when it comes to menstrual practices in India. The sad reality is we are not aware of the products we use and how they impact our health and well being. We are unaware of what goes into their making and how it impacts our environment. One disposable pad takes upto 500-800 years to degrade and that too not degrade fully. A disposable pad outlives you by at least 4 generations.Reusable cloth pads have been around a long time although they haven't been well documented due to the stigma and taboo around menstruation in India. Naari Cloth Pad was created for the modern world of today. To make the women who use it feel more empowered in their bodies, show a lot more self love and honor their bodies during their monthly cycleDiversely, in a world where climate change is a fast approaching disaster, Naari aims to reduce the amount of non-biodegradable waste generated on a monthly basis by using plastic based pads. Cloth pads have been used by women in India since eons. They provide more comfort, less irritation and are furthermore chemical free products taking care of your body in a gentle manner. Cloth pads are re-usable and cause less of a strain on nature. They have the same properties as a regular pad and ensure that no chemical or harmful agents come in contact with your body. At Naari, we believe that empowering women to embrace their roots and go back to using cloth pads can have great implications on how they treat their body as well as their surroundings.
