The National Academy of Agricultural Research Management (NAARM) was established by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) at Hyderabad, in 1976, to address issues related to agricultural research and education management. In the initial years, the Academy primarily imparted foundation training to the new entrants of the Agricultural Research Service of ICAR. Subsequently, its role expanded to include research,training and policy,consultancy support and Management Education.Keeping in view the increasing national and global need to integrate agriculture with agribusiness for raising rural incomes, and the increased emphasis on the creation, dissemination, application and exchange of knowledge in this vital area, the Academy has initiated (Post Graduate Diploma in Management Agriculture program) .NAARM is the only ICAR institute, offering AICTE-approved & NBA Accredited 2-year full time PGDMA (Post Graduate Diploma in Management Agriculture program) since 2008.PGDMA at NAARM selects students across the country through stringent multi-tier selection process and trains them in Agribusiness Management and rural management,our pedagogy consists of a blend of class-room lectures, assignments, case studies, interactive discussions and extensive hands-on experiences. Considerable emphasis is placed on self-learning and group interaction by the participants. Thus, team work forms an essential part of the learning process.Agribusiness managers passing out from NAARM with a deep understanding of Agribusiness have proven their excellence in all major sectors of agribusiness like Agriculture- Input, Procurement,Farm machinery, Dairy & Food Processing,FMCG,Retailing, Banking & Micro/Agri-finance, Warehousing and Logistics, Commodity & derivatives, Agri IT, and Livestock.
