Osservatorio su Nuovi Autoritarismi e Democrazie (NAD) is an observatory of the Department of International, Legal, Historical and Political Studies of the University of Milan (Italy). This project is based on a shared necessity to understand the eccentricity of the legal and institutional systems of the countries examined, when compared - in terms of history, culture and values - to the Euro-Atlantic models. Osservatorio NAD will focus on providing an overall framework on recent evolutions of the contemporary state in Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia and Latin America. Osservatorio NAD is affiliated with the open-access peer-reviewed academic journal Nuovi Autoritarismi e Democrazie: Diritto, Istituzioni e Società (NAD-DIS).
