Naglinn vefþjónusta ehf. has been developing and refining a network platform for service providers since the end of 2009. Two Icelandic founders started to shape the envisioned solution to become a viable product by entering a three semester university program for entrepreneurs. Both founders graduated with honors in December 2011 and the prototype platform was made available for beta testing in April 2012. Company enjoys support from experienced members in the company advisory board. In addition, since 2010, the founders have attended several meetings with SI – the Federation of Icelandic Industries – for consultation. The federation has been supportive with active feedback and by providing a channel to introduce the platform's service to key players and stakeholders in various industries. Beta testing was performed with a couple of private procurers and one of the larger municipalities in Iceland. After beta testing, late summer 2012, improvements where implemented for procurement process, a stand-alone e-invoicing application module was activated and the publishing of electronic invoices in local internet banks was made possible. The future objective is to grow beyond the Icelandic market and provide a customizable solution for communities all over Scandinavia under the name eProcuring on eProcuring.com
