Our unique approach is to start greenfield companies rather than invest in existing companies.Experience shows that the upsides of investing in existing companies (in Nigeria) are mostly overshadowed by the challenges posed by leadership misalignment and other unfactored encumbrances.The decision to focus on greenfield will prove practicable over a 6-10 year holding period - more than enough time to start, grow and exit portfolio companies.Naija Kapital will invest in mass market industries including FMCG/CPG, healthcare, media, entertainment & technology. These sectors play well into Nigeria's 200 million-strong demand story.We expect to make our first portfolio investment by Q1 2023.
