Founded in Oakland, California in 1969 by Raymond Dones and Joseph Debro, the National Association of Minority Contractors (NAMC) is the leading trade association dedicated to promoting the full participation of minority-owned, women-owned, and disadvantaged business enterprises (M/W/SBE/DBE) in the construction industry. Through a network of local chapters and in collaboration with strategic and corporate partnerships, NAMC assists members with building capacity by providing access to opportunity, advocacy, and contractor development training.With over 50 Hall of Fame members, a number of Legacy Builders, and an annual project capacity of over one billion dollars nationally, NAMC has established a great legacy within the construction industry. Today, greater than ever before, the need for the continued expansion of NAMC's presence and voice in the industry is paramount.
