In 1996 Late Sh. Gurcharan Singh Tohra (President S.G.P.C.) took an initiative with the other prominent personalities of the area to establish NANKANA SAHIB PUBLIC SCHOOL for providing education on Public School Pattern to rural children so that they can compete successfully with urban counterparts for entry into various Public Services. The School started working temporarily from the building trusted to it near Gurdwara Sahib Amargarh Teh. Malerkotla. In 2002 Gram Panchayat Village Rampur Chhanna donated a piece of approx. 30 Bighas of Land for construction of School Campus. Accordingly School Started functioning from its present location from April 2004. The inauguration of the new complex was done by Sh. Mahesh Inder Singh Grewal Secretary Nankana Sahib Public School Rampur Chhanna Teh. Malerkotla Dist. Sangrur Education Trust Ludhiana.
