Nanoneurobiophysics is the application of fundamental principles of Physics and Nanoscience in the study of the neurologic diseases. The new area involves researches lines in Nanoneuroscience, Molecular Modeling, Neurobiophisics, Biomaterials, Nanotechnology and Nanobiophysics, correlating several basic areas of science, such as physics, biology, chemistry and neuroscience. The main goal is to study demyelinating (e.g., Multiple Sclerosis, Guillain-Barre Syndrome and others) and neurodegenerative (e.g., Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, Alzheimer and others) diseases and develop mechanisms and sensors to investigate their origins. Nanoneurobiophysics uses the most advanced techniques in nanocharacterization, like the Atomic Force Microscopy, Scanning Electron Microscope and Nanosensors in the creation of new materials and products.
