Naseej was launched in 2005 through its regional office in Amman, Jordan as a regional initiative that transitioned in early 2010 into an Independent Foundation working in and for the region. To date, Naseej programs and activities reached more than 18 Arab Countries. Throughout the last seven years, Naseej has showcased successful and tangible results; most importantly: partnerships with more than 150 entities (organizations, groups and individuals) through its "Financial Support" Program with a total budget that exceeded $6 million dollars in a number of sectors and for divers communities thus reaching 300 localities in 9 countries. Within the "Exchange and Networking & Capacity Building" programs, Naseej provided 120 travel and internship grants to young male and female practitioners from the region and worked intensively on building the capacities of its partner organizations and groups and their staff through 12 regional and 40 national workshops and forums, and enhanced the skills of a large number of young practitioners in a number of Countries. Further, Naseej created an online Resource Center (www.naseej-cyd.org) which includes listings of different types of organizations and resources available within, for and about the region and supported the production of a number of researches and audio visual materials that aims at shedding the light on youth and community development efforts in a number of countries.
